We want to help remove any obstacles to you and your children becoming the best versions of yourselves. Do you have difficulty with migraines? Morning headaches? Sleeping? Breathing through your nose at night? Allergies & asthma? Do you snore? Are you excessively sleepy during the daytime?
Most are surprised to be asked these things at the dentist, but we try to ask every patient about these items because we can usually help. Sometimes we can directly treat your issues at their root cause, other times we act as an education source and patient liaison.
Our goal is to help you feel better and get the oxygen you need while sleeping.
HealthyStart vs Braces vs NOTHINGYour kids’ health is important, ESPECIALLY during their formative years when they are growing. This is why we evaluate your child’s airway, teeth & jaw position at each appointment and recommend treatment as soon as we see a problem. Airway difficulties in children lead to lost growth, lost brain development, more social hindrances, and more doctor visits. We believe that the ideal time to stop bad oral habits and start treating your child’s poor tooth position is BEFORE the first permanent tooth starts to come into the mouth, not AFTER all the permanent teeth are in the mouth. It is far easier to guide the growth of the jaw and shift the direction of a tooth as it is first moving into position with a gentle nudge & persistent shepherding rather than waiting until it is sideways and the space around it crowded by other teeth. Are you no longer 4-6 years old? That’s okay. Traditional metal braces or perhaps clear aligner trays can help better align your smile with your ideal self-image. Uncertain if your kid has breathing difficulties? Answer the questions on the below questionnaire and bring your child & answers for a complimentary consultation.

Oral appliance therapy is a custom made, extremely special type of mouthguard that fits on both your upper and lower teeth. The appliance is worn while sleeping and moves your lower jaw forward every so slightly. This prevents the soft tissue at the back of your throat from collapsing and blocking or “obstructing” your airway, hence the term “obstructive sleep apnea”.
Do you want an alternative to CPAP? Does the idea of a CPAP make you recoil in disbelief? Do you snore loudly? Have you ever woken yourself up from snoring? Have you ever woken up choking or gasping? Do you easily fall asleep during the day? Has your mind become foggy due to worsening sleep? Do you have type II diabetes? Do you have atrial fibrillation? Do you have more than 2 high blood pressure medications? Then oral appliance therapy could help!
