Meet the Doctors
Dr. Paul Kirkegaard
Dr. Paul, a native of Sioux City, Iowa, has been serving the Twin Cities Metro area since 1983. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Paul is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, the Seattle Study Club, and the True North Study Club. He serves on the Installation and Social Committee for St. Paul dentists and on the Scientific Sessions Committee for Minnesota dentists. He is also a past president of the St. Paul District Dental Society.
Dr. Paul plays some golf and softball, enjoys gardening, and volunteering at his church. He truly loves doing anything with his wife, SuzAnne, his daughter, Erin, son-in-law, Aaron, their two sons, Levi and Asher, and his awesome son, Ian.
Dr. Paul feels extremely blessed to be able to help the people in our area. Because of the practice’s proximity to the Luther Seminary and the University of Minnesota, we get the wonderful opportunity to get to know and help people from all over the world.
Dr. Nathaniel Cogswell
Nathaniel Cogswell was born in Rockford, IL, went to high school in Kansas City, MO, and then graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology. He then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed his studies in 2014, graduating with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. During that time he particularly enjoyed the 3 months he spent in Bergen, Norway as part of a dental school foreign exchange program and the honors course in intravenous-moderate sedation that he was able to take with the oral surgery department director.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Nate decided to complete an optional year in a general dentistry residency program located at TMC-Lakewood Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He spent his time as a dental resident in a dental clinic at the hospital, collaborating with various dental specialists to gain more knowledge and experience with complicated procedures and patients. Through this training, he has become knowledgeable in and qualified to complete most root canals, extract teeth that require a surgical approach including wisdom teeth, place implants, and many other aspects of dentistry not normally provided by a young general dentist. Dr. Nate also spent additional time providing emergency dental services for patients that went to the ER for dental pain/trauma and completed more than double the required training hours and cases to receive his certification for providing intravenous-moderate sedation for patients.
Dr. Nate and his wife decided that Minnesota is where they want to live, so Dr. Nate joined Saint Anthony Park Dental Care in July 2015 after completing his residency. He has very much enjoyed being a part of the practice, working with the wonderful staff, and starting to form relationships with the patients who are members of the Saint Anthony Park Dental Care family. The previous dentist, Dr. Todd Grossmann, determined that Dr. Nate was capable and worthy enough to take over the practice in his stead, which allowed Dr. Grossmann to retire with the knowledge that his patients are in good hands.
Dr. Nadine Yacoub
Dr. Nadine Yacoub is glad to be a part of the SAPDC provider family. Dr. Nadine is a Minnesota native. She completed her undergraduate and dental studies at the University of Minnesota – Go Gophers! Throughout her college career, Dr. Nadine spent considerable time on mission trips both to apply her education and to broaden her understanding of our diverse world. Dr. Nadine loves all aspects of dentistry and enjoys treating the full range of ages from pediatric patients to older adults. Her love for dentistry is rooted in establishing long-term relationships with patients and their entire families. Dr. Nadine emphasizes a holistic understanding within the patient-dentist relationship with a focus on individualized dental care.
Dr. Nadine loves being a mom. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Micah, doing anything from playing outside, running around indoors, or sitting cozy and reading endless books. Dr. Nadine is an avid baker and loves cooking with new recipes. As a member of the Coptic community in Minnesota, Dr. Nadine enjoys volunteering at the local Coptic church helping to mentor young children.
After practicing with a large corporate dental group, Dr. Nadine joined our Saint Anthony Park Dental Care family. She has fallen in love with our community and wonderful patients and is thrilled to get to know more of our local partners and patients. She looks forward to saying hello and meeting you at your next visit!!
Dr. Allison Forbes
Dr. Forbes is a lifelong learner and passionate about staying up to date on the latest technologies and techniques with continuing education, journal reviews, podcasts, advocacy and volunteer work. Dr. Forbes loves teeth and wanted to be a dentist from a young age. As she continued to study science and art she knew dentistry was the right profession for her. She loves the art of fixing teeth and giving people a new smile. Dentistry is about people and Dr. Forbes enjoys building lifelong relationships with patients and their families. She is committed to delivering the highest quality care gently with kindness, patience and a few bad jokes.

Dr. Forbes grew up in Minnesota and on the weekends you can find her biking, hiking or traveling.
Dr. Forbes is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, American Dental Association. She has served on the MDA board of trustees and currently serves on several committees and the St. Paul District Dental Society Counsel.

Registered Dental Hygienist & Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist
I graduated from the assisting program at Century College in 1995. In 1999 I received my Bachelors of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Minnesota and started working at St. Anthony Park Dental Care shortly after. I have enjoyed getting to know my patients in that time and providing excellent dental care with a gentle approach. I am happy to answer my patient’s questions and make their dental visit a great experience. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and two children outdoors, camping, and kayaking.

Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2017. Dental hygiene is a rewarding career as I get to build relationships with my patients while providing gentle dentistry. Outside of work, I enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book. When it’s warm out I love to be outside biking, camping and fishing.

I received my degree in Dental Hygiene from Mankato State University and have been practicing since 1995. I absolutely love being a Dental Hygienist and the friendships I have made over the years with my clients is what I cherish most. Outside of the office, my husband and I spend numerous hours in the volleyball gym supporting our two daughters and, when I can find the time, I also enjoy gardening, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, camping and quality time with my family.

I graduated from Mankato State University for dental hygiene and I have been practicing for the past 30 years. I enjoy working with all age groups and really care about educating and encouraging individualized care in the office. I also like empowering patients with skills that they can take home for their best oral health. I live in the neighborhood and enjoy biking, traveling, and art.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth campus in 1992, and then returned home to Saint Paul to practice dental hygiene. I enjoy building partnerships with my patients while providing compassionate and gentle care. Outside of SAPDC, I enjoy North Shore adventures with my family, walks with our dog Archie, live music, and exploring new restaurants around town.

I’m originally from El Salvador. After moving to MN, I attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I graduated from their Dental Assisting program in 2007. I work alongside Dr. Cogswell and I enjoy helping patients get on the right path towards great overall dental health. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my husband and two sons, crafting, gardening and cooking international cuisine.

I graduated from Herzing University’s dental assisting program, and I have been enjoying my time helping patients at Saint Anthony Park Dental Care ever since. I strive to keep the details of the office in order, from managing the complexities of scheduling to ensuring that patients fully understand their insurance benefits. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two grown children. Living as empty-nesters, we enjoy playing tennis, riding the Minnesota bike trails, and traveling.

I obtained a degree in Dental Assisting after graduating high school. I truly enjoy working on all aspects of the front desk at our office. I love getting to know patients during their visits. I grew up in the Twin Cities, and have lived in MN my whole life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, biking, exploring local lakes and traveling. I have a tuxedo cat and black lab that I absolutely adore.

I thrive on finding the answers to patients’ questions and serving their scheduling and billing needs. I have two energetic Australian Shepherds, Thorby and Post It. In addition to a full time job, I enjoy working here, primarily on Monday and Friday mornings.

I recently moved to the Twin Cities in December of 2022. I moved from Indiana which is where I was raised and where I obtained my associates degree. I really enjoy working with patients and making sure that all of their needs are met. I enjoy when I can help patients get scheduled even if it’s been a few years or more! When I’m not at the office, you’ll find me kayaking, hiking, and biking. I have a Maine Coon named Lynx and a Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix named Walrus.

I’m currently pursuing my degree in dental hygiene and I’m excited to be at St. Anthony Park Dental Care! I love learning new things about dental care and I truly enjoy getting to know all of our patients here each day. When I’m not at work or school, I enjoy going on cross-country road trips, camping, attending concerts, and bird watching. I like to stay very busy and spend lots of time with my friends, family, and my dog Maizey.
